A young woman modeled holding her left breast in her hand, the other hand holding a rose, leaning against a fabric draped rock covered with flowering rose vines, underglaze blue crossed swords, incised T.68, painted 54. height 15 3/4in (40cm) Meissen acquired this very rare model- Flora, modelled in 1897, plate no 79, page no 219 in Laurence Mitchell's Meissen Collector's Catalogue.

The scantily clad nymph standing on a ball holding a cornucopia issuing flowers, coins, jewels and seashells, a putto holding a crown and a laurel wreath at her feet, named on a banner at the

There are numerous antique copies, which are often as magnificent as the authentic ones. Franziska Hirsch was another prolific maker of Dresden & Meissen ware, ca 1890s - 1930, and used a "feathered H" mark, again a symbol of high quality and standards, although not authentic Meissen. Edme Samson, another copycat who was as successful in his native Paris, France, created “true” reproductions of Meissen pieces down to the finest details.
